Today, my heart will arrive home

(The links are not working for me so you may have to cut and paste them in your browser)

Today Jill and I leave Ghana and hopefully our sore throats stay here… We head to Ethiopia for our 4th trip. We have done a lot in the past 2 1/2 years, but Ethiopia remains a special place to both of us. If you we’re not around for our first trip, you can go back and read about it here: (this is the link to the first post and you can continue through as you are interested).

I also put together a slideshow and you can watch that here:

Hopefully our flight will be uneventful and we will arrive safely. On Sunday we will go to out friend Yoseph’s wedding! What are the chance we would be in the city the same day he gets married! I am so excited. Then we travel south to Awassa (6 hour drive) and begin our training Monday. In the past we have trained Bethany staff and other NGO’s, but this time it will be government staff, which is a little intimidating! The hotel we are staying at was built by the famous Ethiopian runner Haile Gebrselassie. He is a super star here. We will be in monkey and hippo territory! Also malaria territory. I am taking meds, but that dies not mean the bugs are not vicious!

Hope to reconnect on the other side of the continent!
